These designs or rangoli were kept during Karthika masam infront of Tulasi kota. Simple free hand design was drawn in the left side pic and diyas are kept as part of pooja at tulasi kota. Similarly free hand design was drawn in the right side pic also along with using flowers.In both pics, tulasi kota was decorated using Turmeric, Kumkum and rice flour.
